Time to grow up

It has been a long journey this past one year...
Since I have graduated that is...
In the end, I have reached another crossroad in life...
and I am afraid, really afraid
of making the same mistake...

Of choosing a path in life I may not be familiar with
that does not go well with my heart...
and it may then not go well for my life

What should I do? It confuses...
Where should I go? It beckons...
Why should I go? It questions...

So i stood still
Staring at the sky
Seeing the birds so high
Envious of their capacity
To fly
To soar
To reach for the stars
Without a single drop
of sweat
With me a single drop of tear
To fall to the floor
Crawling
Crumpled
In agony of my incapacity
Looking at myself so low
blinded and hollow
And I stood still
